Project born in 1993 in the mining-metallurgical complex of kargaly (orenburg region, Russia). The combination of paleo-botanical research methods with a dynamic modelling of the landscape supported by spatial remote sensing techniques, gis and gps consolidated an important environmental and paleo-environmental database.
