SUSTAINABLE FOOD NETWORKS AS CHAINS OF VALUES FOR AGRO-ECOLOGICAL AND FOOD TRANSITIONS. IMPLICATIONS FOR PUBLIC TERRITORIAL POLICIES (ALISOS)
Alisos develops a comparative research on the hypothesis that relates the articulation of the regional territory with the possibilities and limits of the phenomenon of Sustainable Food Networks (SFN) and the public policies that stimulate or hinder them.
A food transition is proposed which could be defined as:
“the social process that, at different geographical scales, is building a system of food production, distribution and consumption that is more sustainable in terms of the use of natural resources, more equitable in terms of the distribution of the value generated, and more localised or attentive to the material and moral reconnection between producer, product and consumer.”

- 2. Analyse the RAS of Castilla y León and the Community of Madrid as economic, social, political and environmental value chains.
- 3. To analyse and evaluate the organisation and territorial network of the RAS through the centrality and spatial accessibility of its nodes.
- 4. Identify and evaluate public policies to stimulate the food transition in Castilla y León and the Community of Madrid.
Tasks proposed to carry out the ALISOS project are: literature review and inventory of initiatives, methodological design and collection of quantitative and qualitative data, thematic, statistical and spatial analysis, analysis of value chains, analysis of public policies, internal coordination seminars and dissemination of results.
